Course Overview
Delegates will learn how to use the Transact-SQL language to query and program Microsoft SQL Server 2000 in a Windows 2000 Server environment.
Course Aims
Delegates will learn how to design and implement databases and tables, manage data integrity, implement indexes and joins, design data views, stored procedures, and functions, and create triggers. The delegates will also understand how transactions and locks work within SQL Server 2000 and will learn how to write queries over multiple servers, and optimise and analyse their queries.
Course Pre-requisites
We recommend delegates first take the Windows 2000: Core Requirements course, or have equivalent knowledge. Delegates should also know the basics of querying a SQL server by using the SELECT, INSERT, and UPDATE SQL statements, this knowledge can be gained by attending the SQL Server 2000: Querying with Transact-SQL course.
Qualification Map
This course covers elements essential for the following Microsoft exam: 70-229.
